Joshua 19:47

47When athe territory of the people of Dan was lost to them, the people of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and striking it with the sword they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor.

Judges 2:10-13

10And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel.

Israel’s Unfaithfulness

7 jAnd the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. And the people of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.

Judges 18:1

Danites Take the Levite and the Idol

Judges 18:12

12and went up and encamped at Kiriath-jearim in Judah. On this account that place is called vMahaneh-dan
 Mahaneh-dan means camp of Dan
to this day; behold, it is west of xKiriath-jearim.

Judges 18:27

27But the people of Dan took what Micah had made, and the priest who belonged to him, and they came to Laish, to a people yquiet and unsuspecting, and zstruck them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire.
