Joshua 2:12-14

12Now then, please swear to me by the Lord that, as I have dealt kindly with you, you also will deal kindly with my father’s house, and agive me a sure sign 13that you will save alive my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them, and deliver our lives from death.” 14And the men said to her, “Our life for yours even to death! If you do not tell this business of ours, then when the Lord gives us the land bwe will deal kindly and faithfully with you.”

Joshua 2:17-20

17The men said to her, “We will be guiltless with respect to this oath of yours that you have made us swear. 18 cBehold, when we come into the land, you shall tie this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, dand you shall gather into your house your father and mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household. 19Then if anyone goes out of the doors of your house into the street, ehis blood shall be on his own head, and we shall be guiltless. But if a hand is laid on anyone who is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head. 20But if you ftell this business of ours, then we shall be guiltless with respect to your oath that you have made us swear.”

Joshua 9:15

15And Joshua gmade peace with them and made a covenant with them, to let them live, and the leaders of the congregation swore to them.

Joshua 9:18-20

18But the people of Israel did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel. Then all the congregation murmured against the leaders. 19But all the leaders said to all the congregation, “We have sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel, and now we may not touch them. 20This we will do to them: let them live, lest hwrath be upon us, ibecause of the oath that we swore to them.”

2 Samuel 21:2

2So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. Now the Gibeonites were not of the people of Israel but jof the remnant of the Amorites. Although the people of Israel had sworn to spare them, Saul had sought to strike them down in his zeal for the people of Israel and Judah.

Ezekiel 17:18

18He despised the oath in breaking the covenant, and behold, he gave his hand and did all these things; he shall not escape.
