Joshua 23:15-16

15But just as all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the Lord will bring upon you aall the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the Lord your God has given you, 16if you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land that he has given to you.”

1 Kings 9:6

6 bBut if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,

2 Chronicles 7:19-20

19 c“But if you
The Hebrew for  you is plural here
turn aside and forsake my statutes and my commandments that I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
20 ethen I will pluck you
Hebrew them; twice in this verse
up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it ga proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Nehemiah 9:26-30

26 h“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you iand cast your law behind their back jand killed your prophets, who khad warned them in order to turn them back to you, land they committed great blasphemies. 27 mTherefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. nAnd in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them osaviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies. 28 pBut after they had rest they did evil again before you, and you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, so that they had dominion over them. Yet when they turned and cried to you, you heard from heaven, qand many times you delivered them according to your mercies. 29 rAnd you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet sthey acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, twhich if a person does them, he shall live by them, uand they turned a stubborn shoulder vand stiffened their neck and would not obey. 30Many years wyou bore with them xand warned them yby your Spirit through your prophets. zYet they would not give ear. aaTherefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

Isaiah 1:20

20but if you refuse and rebel,
you shall be eaten by the sword;
abfor the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Isaiah 42:23-25

23Who among you will give ear to this,
will attend and listen for the time to come?
24Who gave up Jacob to the looter,
and Israel to the plunderers?
Was it not the Lord, against whom we have sinned,
in whose ways they would not walk,
and whose law they would not obey?
25So he poured on him the heat of his anger
and the might of battle;
it set him on fire all around, acbut he did not understand;
it burned him up, adbut he did not take it to heart.
