Joshua 23:15-16
15But just as all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the Lord will bring upon you aall the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the Lord your God has given you, 16if you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land that he has given to you.”1 Kings 9:6
6 bBut if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,2 Chronicles 7:19-20

Yet when they turned and cried to you, you heard from heaven, qand many times you delivered them according to your mercies. 29 rAnd you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Isaiah 42:23-25
23Who among you will give ear to this,will attend and listen for the time to come?
24Who gave up Jacob to the looter,
and Israel to the plunderers?
Was it not the Lord, against whom we have sinned,
in whose ways they would not walk,
and whose law they would not obey?
25So he poured on him the heat of his anger
and the might of battle;
it set him on fire all around, acbut he did not understand;
it burned him up, adbut he did not take it to heart.
