2 Kings 23:26-27

26Still the Lord did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, cbecause of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him. 27And the Lord said, “I will remove Judah also out of my sight, das I have removed Israel, and I will cast off this city that I have chosen, Jerusalem, eand the house of which I said, My name shall be there.”

2 Chronicles 36:14-20

14All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, fsent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 gBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, hdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, iuntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

17 jTherefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand. 18 kAnd all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19 lAnd they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels. 20He mtook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, nand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia,

Isaiah 5:4-6

4 oWhat more was there to do for my vineyard,
that I have not done in it?
pWhen I looked for it to yield grapes,
why did it yield wild grapes?
5 And now I will tell you
what I will do to my vineyard.
I will remove qits hedge,
and it shall be devoured;

sI will break down its wall,
and it shall be trampled down.
6I will make it a waste;
it shall not be pruned or hoed,
and tbriers and thorns shall grow up;

that they rain no rain upon it.

Jeremiah 6:19

19Hear, O earth; behold, I am bringing disaster upon this people,
vthe fruit of their devices,
because they have not paid attention to my words;
and as for my law, they have rejected it.
