Joshua 23:3-4
3And you have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake, afor it is the Lord your God who has fought for you. 4Behold, bI have allotted to you as an inheritance for your tribes those nations that remain, along with all the nations that I have already cut off, from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west.Joshua 23:14
14“And now cI am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that dnot one word has failed of all the good things ▼▼Or words; also twice in verse 15
that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed. Nehemiah 9:22-26
22“And you gave them kingdoms and peoples and allotted to them every corner. fSo they took possession of the land of Sihon king of Heshbon gand the land of Og king of Bashan. 23You multiplied their children has the stars of heaven, and you brought them into the land that you had told their fathers to enter and possess. 24 iSo the descendants went in and possessed the land, jand you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hand, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they would. 25And they captured kfortified cities and la rich land, and took possession of mhouses full of all good things, cisterns already hewn, vineyards, olive orchards and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled nand became fat and delighted themselves in oyour great goodness.26 p“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you qand cast your law behind their back rand killed your prophets, who shad warned them in order to turn them back to you, tand they committed great blasphemies.
Psalms 78:55-58
55He udrove out nations before them;he vapportioned them for a possession
and settled the tribes of Israel in their tents.
56 Yet they wtested and xrebelled against the Most High God
and did not keep his testimonies,
57but turned away and acted treacherously like their fathers;
they twisted like ya deceitful bow.
58For they zprovoked him to anger with their aahigh places;
they abmoved him to jealousy with their acidols.
