Joshua 24:2-3

2And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘Long ago, ayour fathers lived beyond the Euphrates,
Hebrew  the River
Terah, the father of Abraham and of Nahor; and cthey served other gods.
3 dThen I took your father Abraham from beyond the River and eled him through all the land of Canaan, and made his offspring many. fI gave him Isaac.

Psalms 45:10-11

10 Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear:
forget your people and your father’s house,
11and the king will desire your beauty.
Since he is your glord, hbow to him.

Luke 14:26-33

26 iIf anyone comes to me and jdoes not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, kyes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 lWhoever does not mbear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not nfirst sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not osit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. 33 pSo therefore, any one of you who qdoes not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

Acts 7:2-6

2And Stephen said:

rBrothers and fathers, hear me. sThe God tof glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, ubefore he lived in Haran,
3and said to him, vGo out from your land and from your kindred and go into the land that I will show you.’ 4 wThen he went out from the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran. And xafter his father died, yGod removed him from there into this land in which you are now living. 5Yet he gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s length, but promised zto give it to him as a possession and to his offspring after him, aathough he had no child. 6And God spoke to this effect—that abhis offspring would acbe sojourners in a land belonging to others, who would enslave them and afflict them adfour hundred years.

2 Corinthians 6:17

17Therefore aego out from their midst,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
then I will welcome you,
