Joshua 7:11-12

11Israel has sinned; they have atransgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the bdevoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings. 12 cTherefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They dturn their backs before their enemies, because they have become edevoted for destruction.
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
I will be with you no more, unless you destroy gthe devoted things from among you.

2 Kings 5:21-25

21So Gehazi followed Naaman. And when Naaman saw someone running after him, he got down from the chariot to meet him and said, h“Is all well?” 22And he said, “All is well. My master has sent me to say, ‘There have just now come to me from ithe hill country of Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets. Please give them a talent of silver and jtwo changes of clothing.’” 23And Naaman said, k“Be pleased to accept two talents.” And he urged him and tied up two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of clothing, and laid them on two of his servants. And they carried them before Gehazi. 24And when he came to the hill, he took them from their hand and put them in the house, and he sent the men away, and they departed. 25He went in and stood before his master, and Elisha said to him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant went nowhere.”

Malachi 1:14

14Cursed be the cheat who has la male in his flock, and mvows it, and yet sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished. For nI am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name owill be feared among the nations.

Malachi 3:8-9

8Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. pBut you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ qIn your tithes and contributions. 9 rYou are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.

John 12:6

6He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and shaving charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.

1 Timothy 6:10

10For the love of money is a root of tall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
