Joshua 7:11-12

11Israel has sinned; they have atransgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the bdevoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings. 12 cTherefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They dturn their backs before their enemies, because they have become edevoted for destruction.
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
I will be with you no more, unless you destroy gthe devoted things from among you.

Judges 2:11

11 hAnd the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals.

Judges 2:14-15

14 iSo the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he jgave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. kAnd he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, lso that they could no longer withstand their enemies. 15Whenever they marched out, the hand of the Lord was against them for harm, as the Lord had warned, mand as the Lord had sworn to them. And they were in terrible distress.

2 Kings 17:7-18

Exile Because of Idolatry

7And this occurred because the people of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, nwho had brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods 8 oand walked in the customs of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel, pand in the customs that the kings of Israel had practiced. 9And the people of Israel did secretly against the Lord their God things that were not right. They built for themselves high places in all their towns, qfrom watchtower to fortified city. 10They set up for themselves rpillars and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree, 11and there they made offerings on all the high places, as the nations did whom the Lord carried away before them. And they did wicked things, provoking the Lord to anger, 12and they served idols, sof which the Lord had said to them, “You shall not do this.” 13Yet the Lord twarned Israel and Judah uby every prophet vand every seer, saying, wTurn from your evil ways and keep my commandments and my statutes, in accordance with all the Law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

14But they would not listen, xbut were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the Lord their God. 15They despised his statutes yand his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after zfalse idols aaand became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the abLord had commanded them that they should not do like them. 16And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made for themselves metal images of actwo calves; and they admade an Asherah and aeworshiped all the host of heaven and served afBaal. 17 agAnd they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings
Or made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire
and used aidivination and ajomens and aksold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
18Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but althe tribe of Judah only.
