Joshua 9:15

15And Joshua amade peace with them and made a covenant with them, to let them live, and the leaders of the congregation swore to them.

Joshua 9:18-20

18But the people of Israel did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel. Then all the congregation murmured against the leaders. 19But all the leaders said to all the congregation, “We have sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel, and now we may not touch them. 20This we will do to them: let them live, lest bwrath be upon us, cbecause of the oath that we swore to them.”

1 Samuel 20:14-15

14If I am still alive, show me the steadfast love of the Lord, that I may not die; 15 dand do not cut off
Or but if I die, do not cut off
your steadfast love from my house forever, when the Lord cuts off every one of the enemies of David from the face of the earth.”

2 Chronicles 36:13

13 hHe also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. iHe stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord, the God of Israel.

Jeremiah 12:16

16And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, jto swear by my name, ‘As the Lord lives,’ even as they taught my people to swear by Baal, kthen they shall be built up in the midst of my people.
