Failure to Complete the Conquest

27 aManasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages, for the Canaanites persisted in dwelling in that land.

Judges 5:19

2 Chronicles 22:9

9 mHe searched for Ahaziah, and he was captured while hiding in Samaria, and he was brought to Jehu and put to death. nThey buried him, for they said, “He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat, owho sought the Lord with all his heart.” And the house of Ahaziah had no one able to rule the kingdom.
