Judges 1:7

Isaiah 37:36-38

Jeremiah 25:12-14

Edom’s Violence Against Jacob

10 vBecause of the violence done to your brother Jacob,
shame shall cover you,
wand you shall be cut off forever.
11 xOn the day that you stood aloof,
yon the day that strangers carried off his wealth
and foreigners entered his gates
zand cast lots for Jerusalem,
you were like one of them.
12 aaBut do not gloat over the day of your brother
in the day of his misfortune;
abdo not rejoice over the people of Judah
in the day of their ruin;

13 aeDo not enter the gate of my people
in the day of their calamity;

14 ahDo not stand at the crossroads
to cut off his fugitives;
do not hand over his survivors
in the day of distress.

The Day of the Lord Is Near

15 For aithe day of the Lord is near upon all the nations.
ajAs you have done, it shall be done to you;
your deeds shall return on your own head.
16 akFor as you have drunk on almy holy mountain,
so all the nations shall drink continually;
they shall drink and swallow,
and shall be as though they had never been.

Zechariah 14:1-3

The Coming Day of the Lord

1Behold, ama day is coming for the Lord, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2For anI will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and aothe city shall be taken apand the houses plundered aqand the women raped. arHalf of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 asThen the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.
