Judges 10:12-14
12The Sidonians also, and athe Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to me, and I bsaved you out of their hand. 13Yet you have cforsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. 14Go and cry out dto the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.”1 Kings 18:26
26And they took the bull that was given them, and they prepared it and called upon the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no voice, and no one answered. And they limped around the altar that they had made.1 Kings 18:40
40And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape.” And they seized them. And Elijah brought them down to ethe brook Kishon and fslaughtered them there.Isaiah 37:38
38And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword. And after they escaped into the land of gArarat, hEsarhaddon his son reigned in his place.Isaiah 45:20
20 i“Assemble yourselves and come;draw near together,
you survivors of the nations!
jThey have no knowledge
who kcarry about their wooden idols,
land keep on praying to a god
that cannot save.
Jeremiah 2:28
28But mwhere are your godsthat you made for yourself?
Let them arise, nif they can save you,
in your time of trouble;

are your gods, O Judah.
Jonah 1:5
5Then the mariners were afraid, and peach cried out to his god. And qthey hurled the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone down into the inner part of the ship and had lain down and was fast asleep.Jonah 1:14-16
14Therefore they called out to the Lord, “O Lord, let us not perish for this man’s life, and rlay not on us innocent blood, sfor you, O Lord, have done as it pleased you.” 15So they picked up Jonah and hurled him into the sea, tand the sea ceased from its raging. 16Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, uand they offered a sacrifice to the Lord vand made vows.
