Judges 12:3-6

3And when I saw that you would not save me, aI took my life in my hand and crossed over against the Ammonites, and the Lord gave them into my hand. Why then have you come up to me this day to fight against me?” 4Then Jephthah gathered all the men of Gilead and fought with Ephraim. And the men of Gilead struck Ephraim, because they said, b“You are fugitives of Ephraim, you Gileadites, in the midst of Ephraim and Manasseh.” 5And the Gileadites captured cthe fords of the Jordan against the Ephraimites. And when any of the fugitives of Ephraim said, “Let me go over,” the men of Gilead said to him, “Are you an Ephraimite?” When he said, “No,” 6they said to him, “Then say Shibboleth,” and he said, “Sibboleth,” for he could not pronounce it right. Then they seized him and slaughtered him at dthe fords of the Jordan. At that time 42,000 of the Ephraimites fell.

1 Samuel 25:10-11

10And Nabal answered David’s servants, eWho is David? Who is the son of Jesse? fThere are many servants these days who are breaking away from their masters. 11Shall I take gmy bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers and give it to hmen who come from I do not know where?”

1 Samuel 25:21-22

21Now David had said, “Surely in vain have I guarded all that this fellow has in the wilderness, iso that nothing was missed of all that belonged to him, and he has jreturned me evil for good. 22 kGod do so to the enemies of David

2 Samuel 19:43

43And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, “We have mten shares in the king, and in David also we have more than you. Why then did you despise us? Were we not the first to speak of bringing back our king?” nBut the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

but the one who trusts in the Lord will tbe enriched.

and one given to anger causes much transgression.
