Judges 13:20-23

20And when the flame went up toward heaven from the altar, the angel of the Lord went up in the flame of the altar. Now Manoah and his wife were watching, aand they fell on their faces to the ground.

21The angel of the Lord appeared no more to Manoah and to his wife. bThen Manoah knew that he was the angel of the Lord. 22And Manoah said to his wife, c“We shall surely die, for we have seen God.” 23But his wife said to him, “If the Lord had meant to kill us, he would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering at our hands, or shown us all these things, or now announced to us such things as these.”

Isaiah 6:1-3

Isaiah’s Vision of the Lord

1In the year that dKing Uzziah died I esaw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train

2Above him stood the seraphim. Each had gsix wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3And one called to another and said:

hHoly, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
ithe whole earth is full of his glory!”

Ezekiel 1:26-28

26And above the expanse over their heads there was kthe likeness of a throne, lin appearance mlike sapphire;

and seated above the likeness of a throne was oa likeness with a human appearance.
27And pupward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were qgleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and rthere was brightness around him.
