15And he found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, and put out his hand and took it, aand with it he struck 1,000 men.

Hebrew  was a pim
for the plowshares and for the mattocks, and a third of a shekel
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
for sharpening the axes and for setting the goads.
The meaning of the Hebrew verse is uncertain
22So on the day of the battle gthere was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people with Saul and Jonathan, but Saul and Jonathan his son had them.

1 Samuel 17:47

47and that all this assembly may know that hthe Lord saves not with sword and spear. iFor the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

1 Samuel 17:50

50So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. There was no sword in the hand of David.

1 Corinthians 1:17
