Judges 16:19-21

19She made him sleep on her knees. And she called a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began ato torment him, and his strength left him. 20And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And he awoke from his sleep and said, “I will go out as at other times and shake myself free.” But he did not know that bthe Lord had left him. 21And the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza and bound him with bronze shackles. cAnd he ground at the mill in the prison.

Psalms 38:1-8

Do Not Forsake Me, O Lord

1 O Lord, erebuke me not in your anger,
nor discipline me in your wrath!
2For your farrows have sunk into me,
and your hand ghas come down on me.
3 There is hno soundness in my flesh
because of your indignation;
there is no health in my ibones
because of my sin.
4For my jiniquities have gone over my head;
like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.
5 My wounds stink and fester
because of my foolishness,
6I am kutterly bowed down and lprostrate;
all the day I mgo about mourning.
7For my sides are filled with burning,
and there is nno soundness in my flesh.
8I am feeble and crushed;
I ogroan because of the tumult of my heart.

8Let me hear joy and gladness;
plet the bones qthat you have broken rejoice.

Proverbs 5:9-11

9lest you give your honor to others
and your years to the merciless,
10lest strangers take their fill of your strength,
and your rlabors go to the house of a foreigner,
