Judges 2:11-14

Israel’s Unfaithfulness

11 aAnd the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals. 12 bAnd they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. cThey went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and dbowed down to them. eAnd they provoked the Lord to anger. 13They abandoned the Lord fand served the Baals and the Ashtaroth. 14 gSo the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he hgave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. iAnd he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, jso that they could no longer withstand their enemies.

Othniel

7 kAnd the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. They forgot the Lord their God and served the Baals and lthe Asheroth.

2 Chronicles 28:23
