Judges 2:13-15

13They abandoned the Lord aand served the Baals and the Ashtaroth. 14 bSo the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he cgave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. dAnd he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, eso that they could no longer withstand their enemies. 15Whenever they marched out, the hand of the Lord was against them for harm, as the Lord had warned, fand as the Lord had sworn to them. And they were in terrible distress.

1 Chronicles 28:9

David’s Charge to Solomon

9“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a gwhole heart and with a willing mind, hfor the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. iIf you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

2 Chronicles 7:19-20

2 Chronicles 36:14-19

14All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, osent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 pBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, qdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, runtil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

Jerusalem Captured and Burned

17 sTherefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand. 18 tAnd all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19 uAnd they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels.

Nehemiah 9:26-27

26 v“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you wand cast your law behind their back xand killed your prophets, who yhad warned them in order to turn them back to you, zand they committed great blasphemies. 27 aaTherefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. abAnd in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them acsaviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies.

Psalms 106:43-44

43 adMany times he delivered them,
but they were rebellious in their aepurposes
and were afbrought low through their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless, he looked upon their distress,
when he agheard their cry.
