Judges 20:26

26Then all the people of Israel, the whole army, went up and came to aBethel and wept. They sat there before the Lord and fasted that day until evening, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

1 Samuel 7:6

7And he issued a proclamation and published through Nineveh, w“By the decree of the king and his nobles: Let neither man nor xbeast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water, 8but let man and ybeast be covered with sackcloth, and let them call out mightily to God. zLet everyone turn from his evil way and from aathe violence that is in his hands.
