Judges 4:3

3Then the people of Israel acried out to the Lord for help, for he had b900 chariots of iron and he oppressed the people of Israel cruelly for twenty years.

Judges 10:7-8

7So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and che sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites, 8and they crushed and oppressed the people of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the people of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.

Nehemiah 5:1-5

Nehemiah Stops Oppression of the Poor

1Now there arose da great outcry of the people and of their wives eagainst their Jewish brothers. 2For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many. So let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.” 3There were also those who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.” 4And there were those who said, “We have borrowed money for fthe king’s tax on our fields and our vineyards. 5Now gour flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet hwe are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

Job 24:7-12

7They ilie all night naked, without clothing,
and have no covering in the cold.
8They are wet with the rain of the mountains
and jcling to the rock for lack of shelter.
9(There are those who snatch the fatherless child from the breast,
and they take a pledge against the poor.)
10They go about naked, without clothing;

Psalms 10:9-10

he seizes the poor when he draws him into his rnet.
10The helpless are crushed, sink down,
and fall by his might.

Proverbs 28:3

3 sA poor man who oppresses the poor
is a beating rain that leaves no food.

Proverbs 28:15-16

15Like ta roaring lion or ua charging bear
is va wicked ruler over a poor people.
16A ruler who wlacks understanding is a cruel oppressor,
but he who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.
