that athe people offered themselves willingly,

1 Chronicles 29:9

The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain

2 Corinthians 8:3-5

3For they gave maccording to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, 4begging us earnestly nfor the favor
The Greek word charis can mean  favor or grace or thanks, depending on the context
of taking part in pthe relief of the saints
5and this, not as we expected, but they qgave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.

2 Corinthians 8:12

12For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable raccording to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
