Judges 5:6-7

6 “In the days of ^aShamgar, son of Anath,
in the days of ^bJael, ^cthe highways were abandoned,
and travelers kept to the byways.
7 The villagers ceased in Israel;
they ceased to be until I arose;
I, Deborah, arose as a mother in Israel.

Jeremiah 4:5

Disaster from the North

5 Declare in Judah, and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say,

^d“Blow the trumpet through the land;
cry aloud and say,
^e‘Assemble, and let us go
into the fortified cities!’

Jeremiah 8:14

14 Why do we sit still?
^fGather together; ^glet us go into the fortified cities
and perish there,
