Judges 8:4-5

4And Gideon came to the Jordan and crossed over, he and athe 300 men who were with him, exhausted yet pursuing. 5So he said to the men of bSuccoth, “Please give loaves of bread to the people who follow me, for they are exhausted, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.”

1 Samuel 14:28

28Then one of the people said, “Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, ‘Cursed be the man who eats food this day.’” And the people were cfaint.

Proverbs 31:6-7

6Give strong drink to the one who iis perishing,
and wine to jthose in bitter distress;
Hebrew  those bitter in soul

7 llet them drink and forget their poverty
and remember their misery no more.
