Lamentations 1:4-6

4 The roads to Zion mourn,
for none come to athe festival;
ball her gates are desolate;
her priests cgroan;
her virgins have been afflicted,
Septuagint, Old Latin dragged away

and she herself suffers bitterly.
5 eHer foes have become the head;
her fenemies prosper,
because gthe Lord has afflicted her
hfor the multitude of her transgressions;
iher children have gone away,
captives before the foe.
6 From the daughter of Zion
all her majesty has departed.
Her princes have become like deer
jthat find no pasture;
they fled without strength
before the pursuer.

Zechariah 8:3-5

3Thus says the Lord: kI have returned to Zion and lwill dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, mand Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, nand the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain. 4Thus says the Lord of hosts: oOld men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. 5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.
