Lamentations 2:16-17

16 aAll your enemies
rail against you;
they hiss, they gnash their teeth,
they cry: “We bhave swallowed her!
Ah, this is the day we longed for;
now we have it; cwe see it!”
17 The Lord has done what he purposed;
he has carried out dhis word,
which he commanded elong ago;
fhe has thrown down gwithout pity;
hhe has made the enemy rejoice over you
and exalted the imight of your foes.

Lamentations 4:13-15

13 This was for jthe sins of her prophets
and kthe iniquities of her priests,
who shed in the midst of her
the blood of the righteous.
14 lThey wandered, blind, through the streets;
they were so defiled with blood
mthat no one was able to touch
their garments.
15 Away! nUnclean!” people cried at them.
Away! Away! Do not touch!”
So they became fugitives and wanderers;
people said among the nations,
“They shall stay with us no longer.”

Ezekiel 36:17-20

17 oSon of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, pthey defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were qlike the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity. 18So rI poured out my wrath upon them sfor the blood that they had shed in the land, for the idols twith which they had defiled it. 19 uI scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries. vIn accordance with their ways and their deeds I judged them. 20But when they came to the nations, wherever they came, wthey profaned my holy name, in that people said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they had to go out of his land.’

Zephaniah 1:4-5

4“I will stretch out my hand against Judah
and against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
xand I will cut off from this place the remnant of Baal
and the name of the idolatrous priests along with the priests,
5 ythose who bow down on the roofs
to the host of the heavens,
zthose who bow down and swear to the Lord
and yet swear by aaMilcom,
