20 Look, O Lord, and see!
^aWith whom have you dealt thus?
^bShould women eat the fruit of their womb,

Should ^dpriest and prophet be killed
in the sanctuary of the Lord?

Lamentations 2:22

22 You summoned as if to ^ea festival day
^fmy terrors on every side,
^gand on the day of the anger of the Lord
no one escaped or survived;
^hthose whom I held and raised
my enemy destroyed.

Lamentations 4:9-10

9 Happier were the victims of the sword
than the victims of hunger,
who wasted away, pierced
by lack of the fruits of the field.
