Lamentations 5:16-17

16 aThe crown has fallen from our head;
woe to us, for we have sinned!
17For this bour heart has become sick,
for these things cour eyes have grown dim,

Ezekiel 22:25-31

25 dThe conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is elike a roaring lion ftearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. 26 gHer priests hhave done violence to my law and ihave profaned my holy things. jThey have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and kthey have disregarded my Sabbaths, lso that I am profaned among them. 27 mHer princes in her midst are like wolves ntearing the prey, oshedding blood, destroying lives to get dishonest gain. 28And pher prophets have smeared whitewash for them, qseeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken. 29The people of the land rhave practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy, and shave extorted from the sojourner without justice. 30 tAnd I sought for a man among them uwho should build up the wall vand stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. 31Therefore wI have poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have returned xtheir way upon their heads, declares the Lord God.”

Daniel 9:5-19

5 ywe have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly zand rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. 6 aaWe have not listened to abyour servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to acour kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7To you, adO Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, aethose who are near and afthose who are far away, in agall the lands to which you have driven them, because of ahthe treachery that they have committed against you. 8To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because aiwe have sinned against you. 9 ajTo the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him 10 akand have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by alhis servants the prophets. 11 amAll Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, anrefusing to obey your voice. aoAnd the curse and oath apthat are written in the Law of aqMoses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because arwe have sinned against him. 12He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against asour rulers who ruled us,
Or  our judges who judged us
by aubringing upon us a great calamity. avFor under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem.
13 awAs it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the Lord our God, axturning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. 14 ayTherefore the Lord has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, azfor the Lord our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and bawe have not obeyed his voice. 15And now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt bbwith a mighty hand, and bchave made a name for yourself, as at this day, bdwe have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16“O Lord, beaccording to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, bfyour holy hill, bgbecause for our sins, and for bhthe iniquities of our fathers, biJerusalem and your people have become bja byword among all who are around us. 17Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord,
Hebrew  for the Lord’s sake
blmake your face to shine upon bmyour sanctuary, which is desolate.
18 bnO my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see boour desolations, and bpthe city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. 19O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. bqDelay not, brfor your own sake, O my God, because bsyour city and btyour people are called by your name.”

Micah 3:9-12

9 buHear this, you heads of the house of Jacob
and rulers of the house of Israel,
bvwho detest justice
and make crooked all that is straight,
10 bwwho build Zion with blood
and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 bxIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
byits priests teach for a price;
bzits prophets practice divination for money;
cayet they lean on the Lord and cbsay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
ccNo disaster shall come upon us.”
12Therefore because of you
cdZion shall be plowed as a field;
Jerusalem ceshall become a heap of ruins,
and cfthe mountain of the house cga wooded height.

Micah 7:13

13But chthe earth will be desolate
because of its inhabitants,
for the fruit of their deeds.
