Leviticus 1:2

2Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, aWhen any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.

Leviticus 1:6

6Then he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces,

10If his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from the sheep or goats, he shall bring a male without blemish,

Laws for Peace Offerings

1“If his offering is ba sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers an animal from the herd, male or female, che shall offer it dwithout blemish before the Lord.

Leviticus 3:7-17

7If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before the Lord, 8lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it in front of the tent of meeting; and Aaron’s sons shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar. 9Then from the sacrifice of the peace offering he shall offer as a food offering to the Lord its fat; he shall remove the whole efat tail, cut off close to the backbone, and the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails 10and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove fwith the kidneys. 11And the priest shall burn it on the altar as ga food offering to the Lord.

12“If his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before the Lord 13and lay his hand on its head and kill it in front of the tent of meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar. 14Then he shall offer from it, as his offering for a food offering to the Lord, the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails 15and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove hwith the kidneys. 16And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a ifood offering with a pleasing aroma. jAll fat is the Lord’s. 17It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither kfat nor lblood.”

Leviticus 9:3

3And say to the people of Israel, mTake a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old without blemish, for a burnt offering,

Leviticus 9:15

15 nThen he presented the people’s offering and took the goat of the sin offering that was for the people and killed it and ooffered it as a sin offering, plike the first one.

Leviticus 10:16

16Now Moses diligently inquired about qthe goat of the sin offering, and behold, it was burned up! And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the surviving sons of Aaron, saying,

19if it is to be accepted for you it shall be a rmale without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats. 20 sYou shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you. 21And when anyone toffers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord uto fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering from the herd or from the flock, to be accepted it must be perfect; there shall be no blemish in it. 22Animals vblind or disabled or mutilated or having a discharge or wan itch or scabs you shall not offer to the Lord or give them to the Lord as a food xoffering on the altar. 23You may present a bull or a lamb that has a part ytoo long or too short for a freewill offering, but for a vow offering it cannot be accepted. 24Any animal that has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut you shall not offer to the Lord; you shall not do it within your land, 25neither shall you offer as zthe bread of your God any such animals gotten from a foreigner. Since there is a aablemish in them, because of their mutilation, they will not be accepted for you.”

26And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 27 ab“When an ox or sheep or goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day on it shall be acceptable as a food offering to the Lord.

Isaiah 53:2

2For he grew up before him like a young plant,
acand like a root out of dry ground;
adhe had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.

Isaiah 53:6

6 aeAll we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
afand the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

Matthew 25:32-33

32Before him agwill be gathered ahall the nations, and aihe will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates ajthe sheep from the goats. 33And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.
