Leviticus 1:2-3

2Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, aWhen any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.

3“If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer ba male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord.

Leviticus 17:4

4and cdoes not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to offer it as a gift to the Lord in front of the tabernacle of the Lord, bloodguilt shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood, and that man dshall be cut off from among his people.

Leviticus 17:10

Laws Against Eating Blood

10“If any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among them eeats any blood, I will fset my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.

Judges 6:26

26and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of the gstronghold here, with stones laid in due order. Then take the second bull and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you shall cut down.”

1 Samuel 7:9

9So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. And hSamuel cried out to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord answered him.

1 Samuel 10:8

8Then go down before me ito Gilgal. And behold, I am coming down to you to offer burnt offerings and jto sacrifice peace offerings. kSeven days you shall wait, until I come to you and show you what you shall do.”

2 Samuel 24:25

1 Kings 18:30-38

30Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” And all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been nthrown down. 31Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, oIsrael shall be your name,” 32and with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord. And he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two seahs
A  seah was about 7 quarts or 7.3 liters
of seed.
33 qAnd he put the wood in order and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood. And he said, “Fill four jars with water and rpour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.” 34And he said, “Do it a second time.” And they did it a second time. And he said, “Do it a third time.” And they did it a third time. 35And the water ran around the altar and filled the trench also with water.

36And at the time of sthe offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, tGod of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that uyou are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that vI have done all these things at your word. 37Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” 38 wThen the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
