1Now aNadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, beach took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered cunauthorized

fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them.
2And fire ecame out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. 3Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Among fthose who are near me gI will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” hAnd Aaron held his peace.

10You are to idistinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean,

Leviticus 20:25

25 kYou shall therefore separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the unclean bird from the clean. You shall not make yourselves detestable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground crawls, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.

Jeremiah 15:19

19 Therefore thus says the Lord:

but you shall not turn to them.

Ezekiel 44:23

Haggai 2:11-13

11Thus says the Lord of hosts: pAsk the priests about the law: 12If someone carries qholy meat in the fold of his garment and touches with his fold bread or stew or wine or oil or any kind of food, does it become holy?’” The priests answered and said, rNo.” 13Then Haggai said, sIf someone who is unclean by contact with a dead body ttouches any of these, does it become unclean?” The priests answered and said, “It does become unclean.”
