The Death of Nadab and Abihu

1Now aNadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, beach took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered cunauthorized

fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them.
2And fire ecame out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. 3Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Among fthose who are near me gI will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” hAnd Aaron held his peace.

Numbers 9:10

10Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is on a long journey, he shall still keep the Passover to the Lord.

Numbers 9:13

13But if anyone who is clean and is not on a journey fails to keep the Passover, ithat person shall be cut off from his people because he did not bring the Lord’s joffering at its appointed time; that man shall bear his sin.

2 Chronicles 30:18-20

18For a majority of the people, kmany of them from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise lthan as prescribed. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord pardon everyone 19 mwho sets his heart to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers, even though not according to the sanctuary’s rules of cleanness.”
