Legal Decisions by Priests and Judges

8If any case arises requiring decision between one kind of homicide and another, one kind of legal right and another, or one kind of assault and another, any case within your towns that is too difficult for you, then you shall arise and go up to bthe place that the Lord your God will choose. 9 cAnd you shall come to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall consult them, and dthey shall declare to you the decision. 10Then you shall do according to what they declare to you from that place that the Lord will choose. And you shall be careful to do according to all that they direct you. 11According to the instructions that they give you, and according to the decision which they pronounce to you, you shall do. You shall not turn aside from the verdict that they declare to you, either to the right hand or to the left.

Deuteronomy 21:5

5Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come forward, for the Lord your God has chosen ethem to minister to him and to bless in the name of the Lord, and fby their word every dispute and every assault shall be settled.

Deuteronomy 24:8

disease, to be very careful to do according to all that the Levitical priests shall direct you. As I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.

2 Chronicles 17:8-9

8 iand with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and with these Levites, the priests Elishama and Jehoram. 9And jthey taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the Lord with them. They went about through all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.

2 Chronicles 30:22

22And Hezekiah spoke kencouragingly to all the Levites who showed good skill in the service of the Lord. So they ate the food of the festival for seven days, sacrificing lpeace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

Ezra 7:10

10For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it mand to nteach his statutes and rules in Israel.
