Leviticus 14:5-7

5And the priest shall command them to kill one of the birds in an earthenware vessel over fresh
Or running; Hebrew living; also verses 6, 50, 51, 52
water.
6He shall take the live bird with the cedarwood and the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, and dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water. 7And he shall bsprinkle it cseven times on him who is to be cleansed of the leprous disease. Then he shall pronounce him clean and shall dlet the living bird go einto the open field.

Numbers 8:7

7Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the fwater of purification upon them, and glet them go with a razor over all their body, and wash their clothes and cleanse themselves.

Numbers 19:13-20

13Whoever touches a dead person, the body of anyone who has died, and does not cleanse himself, hdefiles the tabernacle of the Lord, iand that person shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not thrown on him, he shall be unclean. His uncleanness is still on him.

14“This is the law when someone dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean seven days. 15And every jopen vessel that has no cover fastened on it is unclean. 16 kWhoever in the open field touches someone who was killed with a sword or who died naturally, or touches a human bone or a lgrave, shall be unclean seven days. 17For the unclean they shall take msome ashes of the burnt sin offering, and fresh

18Then a clean person shall take ohyssop and dip it in the water and sprinkle it on the tent and on all the furnishings and on the persons who were there and on whoever touched the bone, or the slain or the dead or the grave. 19And the clean person shall sprinkle it on the unclean pon the third day and on the seventh day. qThus on the seventh day he shall cleanse him, and he shall rwash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and at evening he shall be clean.

20“If the man who is unclean does not cleanse himself, sthat person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, since he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. Because the water for impurity has not been thrown on him, he is unclean.

Psalms 51:7

7 Purge me twith hyssop, and I shall be clean;
uwash me, and I shall be vwhiter than snow.

Isaiah 52:15

15so wshall he sprinkle
Or startle
many nations;
ykings shall shut their mouths because of him,
zfor that which has not been told them they see,
and that which they have not heard they understand.
