Leviticus 15:31

31“Thus you shall keep the people of Israel separate from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness by adefiling my tabernacle that is in their midst.”

Leviticus 22:3-6

3Say to them, ‘If any one of all your offspring throughout your generations approaches the holy things that the people of Israel dedicate to the Lord, while bhe has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord. 4None of the offspring of Aaron who has a leprous disease or a cdischarge may eat of the holy things duntil he is clean. eWhoever touches anything that is unclean through contact with the dead or fa man who has had an emission of semen, 5and gwhoever touches a swarming thing by which he may be made unclean or ha person from whom he may take uncleanness, whatever his uncleanness may be— 6the person who touches such a thing shall be unclean until the evening and shall not eat of the holy things unless he has ibathed his body in water.

Numbers 6:3-8

3he jshall separate himself from wine and strong drink. He shall drink no vinegar made from wine or strong drink and shall not drink any juice of grapes or eat grapes, fresh or dried. 4All the days of his separation

he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, not even the seeds or the skins.

5All the days of his vow of separation, no lrazor shall touch his head. Until the time is completed for which he separates himself to the Lord, he shall be holy. mHe shall let the locks of hair of his head grow long.

6All the days that he separates himself to the Lord nhe shall not go near a dead body. 7 oNot even for his father or for his mother, for brother or sister, if they die, shall he make himself unclean, because his separation to God is on his head. 8All the days of his separation he is holy to the Lord.
