3 If any one of the house of Israel ^akills an ox or a lamb or a goat in the camp, or kills it outside the camp, 4 and ^bdoes not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to offer it as a gift to the Lord in front of the tabernacle of the Lord, bloodguilt shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood, and that man ^cshall be cut off from among his people.

Deuteronomy 12:13-14

13 ^dTake care that you do not offer your burnt offerings at any place that you see, 14 but at ^ethe place that the Lord will choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I am commanding you.

Jeremiah 7:31

31 And they have built the high places of ^fTopheth, which is in ^gthe Valley of the Son of Hinnom, ^hto burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, ⁱwhich I did not command, nor did it come into my mind.

Ezekiel 6:3-4

3 and say, ^jYou mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to ^kthe mountains and ^lthe hills, to ^mthe ravines and the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, ⁿand I will destroy your high places. 4 ^oYour altars shall become desolate, and your ^pincense altars shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

Hosea 10:8

8 The high places of ^qAven, ^rthe sin of Israel,
shall be destroyed.
^sThorn and thistle shall grow up
on their altars,
and ^tthey shall say to the mountains, “Cover us,”
and to the hills, “Fall on us.”
