Leviticus 18:24-25
24 a“Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, bfor by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, 25and the cland became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land dvomited out its inhabitants.Leviticus 18:28
28lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.Leviticus 26:34-35
34 e“Then the land shall enjoy ▼▼Or pay for; twice in this verse; also verse 43
its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest, and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, the rest that it did not have on your Sabbaths when you were dwelling in it. Leviticus 26:43
43But gthe land shall be abandoned by them and enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them, and they shall make amends for their iniquity, because they spurned my rules and their soul abhorred my statutes.2 Chronicles 36:20-21
20He htook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, iand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia, 21to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had jenjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate kit kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.
