Leviticus 18:24-28

24 ^a“Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, ^bfor by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, 25 and the ^cland became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land ^dvomited out its inhabitants. 26 But ^eyou shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the ^fnative or the stranger who sojourns among you 27 (for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28 lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

Numbers 35:33-34

33 You shall not ^gpollute the land in which you live, for blood ^hpollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except ⁱby the blood of the one who shed it. 34 ^jYou shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, ^kfor I the Lord dwell in the midst of the people of Israel.”

Deuteronomy 21:23

23 ^lhis body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall bury him the same day, for ^ma hanged man is cursed by God. ⁿYou shall not defile your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance.

Psalms 78:58-59

58 For they ^oprovoked him to anger with their ^phigh places;
they ^qmoved him to jealousy with their ^ridols.
59 When God heard, he was full of ^swrath,
and he utterly rejected Israel.

Jeremiah 3:1

Jeremiah 3:9

9 Because she took her whoredom lightly, she polluted the land, committing adultery with ^xstone and tree.
