Leviticus 18:3

3 aYou shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived, and byou shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you. You shall not walk in their statutes.

Leviticus 18:24-28

24 c“Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, dfor by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, 25and the eland became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land fvomited out its inhabitants. 26But gyou shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the hnative or the stranger who sojourns among you 27(for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

Deuteronomy 12:30-31

30take care ithat you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ 31 jYou shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every kabominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for lthey even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.

2 Kings 16:3

3but he walked in the way of the kings of Israel. mHe even burned his son as an offering,
Or made his son pass through the fire
oaccording to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

2 Kings 16:10-11

10When King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet pTiglath-pileser king of Assyria, he saw the altar that was at Damascus. And King Ahaz sent to qUriah the priest a model of the altar, and its pattern, exact in all its details. 11And Uriah the priest built the altar; in accordance with all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so Uriah the priest made it, before King Ahaz arrived from Damascus.

Ezekiel 8:10

10So I went in and saw. And there, rengraved on the wall all around, was severy form of tcreeping things and loathsome beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel.
