24 c“Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, dfor by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, 25and the eland became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land fvomited out its inhabitants. 26But gyou shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the hnative or the stranger who sojourns among you 27(for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. 29For everyone who does any of these abominations, the persons who do them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 iSo keep my charge never to practice jany of these abominable customs that were practiced before you, and never to make yourselves unclean by them: kI am the Lord your God.”

Romans 2:17-25

17But if you call yourself a Jew and srely on the law and boast in God 18and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you are instructed from the law; 19and if you are sure that you yourself are ta guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having in the law uthe embodiment of vknowledge and truth 21 wyou then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you xrob temples? 23You who yboast in the law zdishonor God by breaking the law. 24For, aaas it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed abamong the Gentiles because of you.”

25For circumcision indeed is of value acif you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.
