Leviticus 18:3

3 aYou shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived, and byou shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you. You shall not walk in their statutes.

Leviticus 18:27-30

27(for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. 29For everyone who does any of these abominations, the persons who do them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 cSo keep my charge never to practice dany of these abominable customs that were practiced before you, and never to make yourselves unclean by them: eI am the Lord your God.”

Deuteronomy 12:30-31

30take care fthat you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ 31 gYou shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every habominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for ithey even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.

Deuteronomy 18:9

Abominable Practices

9“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, jyou shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations.

1 Kings 12:28

28So the king took counsel and kmade two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. lBehold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.”

oaccording to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

2 Kings 16:10

10When King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet pTiglath-pileser king of Assyria, he saw the altar that was at Damascus. And King Ahaz sent to qUriah the priest a model of the altar, and its pattern, exact in all its details.

2 Kings 21:2

2And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, raccording to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.
