13 a“You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. bThe wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

Deuteronomy 24:12-15

12And if he is a poor man, you shall not sleep in his pledge. 13 cYou shall restore to him the pledge as the sun sets, that he may sleep in his cloak and dbless you. And eit shall be righteousness for you before the Lord your God.

14“You shall not foppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns. 15 gYou shall give him his wages on the same day, before the sun sets (for he is poor and counts on it), hlest he cry against you to the Lord, and you be guilty of sin.

Proverbs 27:1

1Do not boast about tomorrow,
ifor you do not know what a day may bring.

Ecclesiastes 9:10

10Whatever your hand finds to do, jdo it with your might,
Or  finds to do with your might, do it
lfor there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
