Leviticus 19:35-36

35 a“You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measures of length or weight or quantity. 36 bYou shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin:
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters; a  hin was about 4 quarts or 3.5 liters
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Proverbs 11:1

1 dA false balance is an abomination to the Lord,
ebut a just weight is his delight.

Proverbs 16:11

11 fA just balance and scales are the Lord’s;
all the weights in the bag are his work.

Amos 8:5-6

5saying, “When will gthe new moon be over,
that we may sell grain?
And hthe Sabbath,
that we may offer wheat for sale,
that we may make ithe ephah small and the shekel
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters; a  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams

and deal deceitfully with false balances,
6that we may buy the poor for ksilver
and the needy for a pair of sandals
and sell the chaff of the wheat?”

Micah 6:10-11

10Can I forget any longer the treasures
Or Are there still treasures
of wickedness in the house of the wicked,
and the scant measure that is accursed?
11Shall I acquit the man mwith wicked scales
and with a bag of deceitful weights?

1 Timothy 6:9-10

9But nthose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, ointo a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that pplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of qall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
