Leviticus 2

Laws for Grain Offerings

1“When anyone brings a agrain offering as an offering to the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour. bHe shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it 2and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. And he shall take from it a handful of the fine flour and oil, with all of its frankincense, and the priest shall burn this as its cmemorial portion on the altar, a food doffering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 3But the erest of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; fit is a most holy part of the Lord’s food offerings.

4“When you bring a grain offering baked in the oven as an offering, it shall be gunleavened loaves of fine flour mixed with oil or unleavened wafers smeared with oil. 5And if your offering is a grain offering hbaked on a griddle, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mixed with oil. 6You shall break it in pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. 7And if your offering is a grain offering cooked in a pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. 8And you shall bring the grain offering that is made of these things to the Lord, and when it is presented to the priest, he shall bring it to the altar. 9And the priest shall take from the grain offering its memorial portion and burn this on the altar, a food ioffering with a jpleasing aroma to the Lord. 10But the krest of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; lit is a most holy part of the Lord’s food offerings.

11“No grain offering that you bring to the Lord shall be made with mleaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey as a food offering to the Lord. 12 nAs an offering of firstfruits you may bring them to the Lord, but they shall not be offered on the altar for a pleasing aroma. 13You oshall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not let the psalt of the covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; qwith all your offerings you shall offer salt.

14“If you offer a grain offering of firstfruits to the Lord, you shall offer for the grain offering of your firstfruits fresh rears, roasted with fire, crushed new grain. 15And syou shall put oil on it and lay frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. 16And the priest shall burn as its tmemorial portion some of the crushed grain and some of the oil with all of its frankincense; it is a food offering to the Lord.

Numbers 15:4-31

4then uhe who brings his offering shall offer to the Lord va grain offering of a tenth of an ephah
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters
of fine flour, xmixed with a quarter of a hin
A  hin was about 4 quarts or 3.5 liters
of oil;
5and you shall offer with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, a quarter of a hin of zwine for the drink offering for each lamb. 6 aaOr for a ram, you shall offer for a grain offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil. 7And for the drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine, a abpleasing aroma to the Lord. 8And when you offer a bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, to acfulfill a vow or for adpeace offerings to the Lord, 9then one shall offer aewith the bull a grain offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with half a hin of oil. 10And you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

11 afThus it shall be done for each bull or ram, or for each lamb or young goat. 12As many as you offer, so shall you do with each one, as many as there are. 13Every native Israelite shall do these things in this way, in offering a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 14And if a stranger is sojourning with you, or anyone is living permanently among you, and he wishes to offer a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord, he shall do as you do. 15For the assembly, agthere shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the Lord. 16One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”

17The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 18 ahSpeak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land to which I bring you 19and when you eat of aithe bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to the Lord. 20 ajOf the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a akcontribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it. 21 alSome of the first of your dough you shall give to the Lord as a contribution throughout your generations.

Laws About Unintentional Sins

22 am“But if you sin unintentionally,
Or by mistake; also verses 24, 27, 28, 29
and do not observe all these commandments that the Lord has spoken to Moses,
23all that the Lord has commanded you by Moses, from the day that the Lord gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations, 24then if it was done unintentionally aowithout the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one bull from the herd for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord, apwith its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the rule, and aqone male goat for a sin offering. 25 arAnd the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the people of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was a mistake, and they have brought their offering, a food offering to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord for their mistake. 26And all the congregation of the people of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who sojourns among them, because the whole population was involved in the mistake.

27 asIf one person sins unintentionally, he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering. 28 atAnd the priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who makes a mistake, when he sins unintentionally, to make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven. 29 auYou shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the people of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them. 30 avBut the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people. 31Because he has awdespised the word of the Lord and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.”

29Others of them were appointed over the furniture and over all the holy utensils, also over the axfine flour, the wine, the oil, the incense, and the spices.
