10 “If a ^aman commits adultery with the wife of ^{▼▼Hebrew repeats if a man commits adultery with the wife of} his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Leviticus 21:9

9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by whoring, profanes her father; ^cshe shall be burned with fire.

Deuteronomy 22:21-24

21 then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and ^dthe men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has ^edone an outrageous thing in Israel by whoring in her father’s house. ^fSo you shall purge the evil from your midst.

22 ^g“If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. ^hSo you shall purge the evil from Israel.

23 “If there is a ⁱbetrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her, 24 then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor’s wife. ^jSo you shall purge the evil from your midst.

Ezekiel 16:38-43

38 ^kAnd I will judge you ^las women who commit adultery and ^mshed blood are judged, and bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy. 39 And I will give you into their hands, and they shall throw down your ⁿvaulted chamber and break down ^oyour lofty places. ^pThey shall strip you of your clothes and take ^qyour beautiful jewels and leave you ^rnaked and bare. 40 ^sThey shall bring up a crowd against you, ^tand they shall stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords. 41 ^uAnd they shall ^vburn your houses and ^wexecute judgments upon you in the sight of many women. ^xI will make you stop playing the whore, and ^yyou shall also give payment no more. 42 ^zSo will I satisfy my wrath on you, and my jealousy shall depart from you. I will be calm and will no more be angry. 43 Because you have not remembered ^aathe days of your youth, but have enraged me with all these things, therefore, behold, ^abI have returned your deeds upon your head, declares the Lord God. Have you not ^accommitted lewdness in addition to all your abominations?

Ezekiel 23:37-39

37 For ^adthey have committed adultery, ^aeand blood is on their hands. With their idols they have committed adultery, and they have even ^afoffered up ^{▼▼Or have even made pass through the fire} to them for food the children whom they had borne to me. 38 Moreover, this they have done to me: ^ahthey have defiled my sanctuary on the same day and ^aiprofaned my Sabbaths. 39 For when ^ajthey had slaughtered their children in sacrifice to their idols, on the same day ^akthey came into my sanctuary to profane it. And behold, ^althis is what they did in my house.

John 8:7

7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, ^am“Let him who is without sin among you ^anbe the first to throw a stone at her.”
