Leviticus 20:24-26

24But aI have said to you, ‘You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land bflowing with milk and honey.’ I am the Lord your God, cwho has separated you from the peoples. 25 dYou shall therefore separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the unclean bird from the clean. You shall not make yourselves detestable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground crawls, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean. 26 eYou shall be holy to me, ffor I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.

Numbers 16:9-10

9is it gtoo small a thing for you that the God of Israel has hseparated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do service in the tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them, 10and that he has brought you near him, and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you? And would you seek the priesthood also?

Deuteronomy 10:8

8At that time ithe Lord set apart the tribe of Levi jto carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord kto stand before the Lord to minister to him and lto bless in his name, to this day.

1 Chronicles 23:13
