Leviticus 25:23

Redemption of Property

23“The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for athe land is mine. For you are strangers and sojourners with me.

Leviticus 25:34

34But the fields bof pastureland belonging to their cities may not be sold, for that is their possession forever.

Leviticus 25:49

49or his uncle or his cousin may credeem him, or a close relative from his clan may redeem him. Or if he dgrows rich he may redeem himself.

Numbers 35:2

2 eCommand the people of Israel to give to the Levites some of the inheritance of their possession as cities for them to dwell in. And you shall give to the Levites pasturelands around the cities.

Ruth 4:4-9

7 kNow this was the custom in former times in Israel concerning redeeming and exchanging: to confirm a transaction, the one drew off his sandal and gave it to the other, and this was the manner of attesting in Israel. 8So when the redeemer said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself,” he drew off his sandal. 9Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought from the hand of Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech and all that belonged to lChilion and to Mahlon.
