Leviticus 25:40-43

40he shall be with you as a hired worker and as a sojourner. He shall serve with you until the year of the jubilee. 41 aThen he shall go out from you, bhe and his children with him, and go back to his own clan and return cto the possession of his fathers. 42For they are dmy servants,
Hebrew slaves
whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves.
43 fYou shall not rule over him gruthlessly but hshall fear your God.

Job 24:10-11

10They go about naked, without clothing;
hungry, they icarry the sheaves;
11among the olive rows of the wicked
Hebrew their olive rows
they make oil;
they tread the winepresses, but suffer thirst.

Job 31:13-15

13 If I have rejected the cause of my manservant or my maidservant,
when they brought a complaint against me,
14what then shall I do when God rises up?
When he kmakes inquiry, what shall I answer him?
15Did lnot he who made me in the womb make him?
And did not one fashion us in the womb?

Proverbs 14:31

31Whoever oppresses a poor man minsults his nMaker,
obut he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Proverbs 22:16

16Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth,
or gives to the rich, pwill only come to poverty.

Ezekiel 22:7

7Father and mother qare treated with contempt in you; the sojourner rsuffers extortion in your midst; the fatherless and the widow sare wronged in you.
