9Then you shall sound athe loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. bOn the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

Numbers 10:1-10

The Silver Trumpets

1The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2Make two silver trumpets. Of hammered work you shall make them, and you shall use them for csummoning the congregation and for breaking camp. 3And when dboth are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 4But if they blow only one, then ethe chiefs, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. 5When you blow an alarm, fthe camps that are on the east side shall set out. 6And when you blow an alarm the second time, gthe camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out. 7But when the assembly is to be gathered together, hyou shall blow a long blast, but you shall not isound an alarm. 8 jAnd the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a perpetual statute throughout your generations. 9And kwhen you go to war in your land against the adversary who loppresses you, then you shall msound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be nremembered before the Lord your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies. 10 oOn the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts and pat the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. They shall be qa reminder of you before your God: I am the Lord your God.”

Judges 7:7-8

7And the Lord said to Gideon, r“With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.” 8So the people took provisions in their hands, and their trumpets. And he sent all the rest of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the 300 men. And the camp of Midian was below him sin the valley.

Judges 7:15-22

15As soon as Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, he worshiped. And he returned to the camp of Israel and said, “Arise, for the Lord has given the host of Midian into your hand.” 16And he divided the 300 men into three companies and put trumpets into the hands of all of them and empty jars, with ttorches inside the jars. 17And he said to them, “Look at me, and do likewise. When I come to the outskirts of the camp, do as I do. 18When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then blow the trumpets also on every side of all the camp and shout, u‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’”

Gideon Defeats Midian

19So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, when they had just set the watch. And they blew the trumpets and smashed the jars that were in their hands. 20Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow. vAnd they cried out, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21Every man stood in his place around the camp, wand all the army ran. They cried out and fled. 22 xWhen they blew the 300 trumpets, ythe Lord set zevery man’s sword against his comrade and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah,

2 Chronicles 13:12

12Behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests abwith their battle trumpets to sound the call to battle against you. O sons of Israel, acdo not fight against the Lord, the God of your fathers, for you cannot succeed.”

2 Chronicles 20:17

17 adYou will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ aeDo not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, afand the Lord will be with you.”
