Leviticus 26:25

25And aI will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute vengeance for the covenant. And if you gather within your cities, bI will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

Deuteronomy 28:52-57

52“They shall cbesiege you in all your towns, until your high and fortified walls, in which you trusted, come down throughout all your land. And they shall besiege you in all your towns throughout all your land, which the Lord your God has given you. 53And dyou shall eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of your sons and daughters, whom the Lord your God has given you, ein the siege and in the distress with which your enemies shall distress you. 54The man who is the most tender and refined among you will fbegrudge food to his brother, to gthe wife he embraces,
Hebrew  the wife of his bosom
and to the last of the children whom he has left,
55so that he will not give to any of them any of the flesh of his children whom he is eating, because he has nothing else left, iin the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your towns. 56 jThe most tender and refined woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because she is so delicate and tender, will begrudge to the husband she embraces,
Hebrew  the husband of her bosom
to her son and to her daughter,
57her afterbirth that comes out from between her feet and her children whom she bears, because lacking everything she will eat them secretly, lin the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in your towns.

2 Chronicles 12:2-5

2 mIn the fifth year of King Rehoboam, because they had been unfaithful to the Lord, nShishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem 3with 1,200 chariots and 60,000 horsemen. And the people were without number who came with him from EgyptoLibyans, Sukkiim, and Ethiopians. 4And he took pthe fortified cities of Judah and came as far as Jerusalem. 5Then qShemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and to the princes of Judah, who had gathered at Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, “Thus says the Lord, r‘You abandoned me, so I have abandoned you to the hand of Shishak.’”

2 Chronicles 20:9-13

9 sIf disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment,
Or  the sword of judgment
or pestilence, or famine, uwe will stand before this house and before you— vfor your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’
10And now behold, the men of wAmmon and Moab and xMount Seir, whom yyou would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, zand whom they avoided and did not destroy 11behold, they reward us aaby coming to drive us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit. 12O our God, will you not abexecute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but acour eyes are on you.”

13Meanwhile all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

2 Chronicles 32:1

Sennacherib Invades Judah

1 adAfter these things and these acts of faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah and encamped against the fortified cities, thinking to win them for himself.
