3 a“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, 4then bI will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 cYour threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And dyou shall eat your bread to the full and edwell in your land securely. 6 fI will give peace in the land, and gyou shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. And hI will remove harmful beasts from the land, iand the sword shall not go through your land. 7You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 jFive of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9 kI will turn to you and lmake you fruitful and multiply you and will confirm my covenant with you. 10You shall eat mold store long kept, and you shall clear out the old to make way for the new. 11 nI will make my dwelling

Blessings for Obedience

1“And tif you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you uhigh above all the nations of the earth. 2And all these blessings shall come upon you and vovertake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. 3Blessed shall you be in the city, and wblessed shall you be in the field. 4Blessed shall be xthe fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 5Blessed shall be your basket and your ykneading bowl. 6Blessed shall you be zwhen you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7“The Lord aawill cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8The Lord abwill command the blessing on you in your barns and acin all that you undertake. adAnd he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 9 aeThe Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. 10And afall the peoples of the earth shall see that you are agcalled by the name of the Lord, and they shall be ahafraid of you. 11And aithe Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in ajthe fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, akto give the rain to your land in its season and alto bless all the work of your hands. And amyou shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13And the Lord will make you anthe head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, 14 aoand if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Deuteronomy 33:12

12 apOf Benjamin he said,

“The beloved of the Lord dwells in safety.
The High God
Septuagint; Hebrew  dwells in safety by him. He
surrounds him all day long,
and dwells between his shoulders.”

Deuteronomy 33:28

28So Israel lived in safety,
arJacob lived asalone,
Hebrew the abode of Jacob was alone

in a land of grain and wine,
whose heavens drop down dew.

Psalms 4:8

8 In peace I will both aulie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me avdwell in safety.

Proverbs 1:33

33but awwhoever listens to me will dwell secure
and will be axat ease, without dread of disaster.”

Jeremiah 7:3-7

3Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ayAmend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you dwell in this place. 4 azDo not trust in these deceptive words: ‘This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’

5For if you truly baamend your ways and your deeds, if you truly bbexecute justice one with another, 6if you bcdo not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, bdor shed innocent blood in this place, beand if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, 7 bfthen I will let you dwell in this place, bgin the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.
